Marzipan

Marzipan.
He's very pretty, I love the idea of the color, and the mold, but I'm a little tired of the hot pink muzzles.
His pattern is too lacy for me as well. I prefer the basic patterns, but that's just because of all the smudged edges I've been seeing lately. It's a little close to Steele to be releasing a pinto Wyatt again, but Breyer's been throwing a lot of curveballs at us. I look forward to seeing in hand photos of him!!

BreyerFest Models

Well, I'm two posts in, and already I took two weeks off. Not a great start. I'll try to catch up, and talk a little about the BF 2022 SRs and SSs we've been seeing.

First, Landler.

He's a beautiful model with graceful stride and color, and his shading and fleabites are to die for. I would be all over him if I collected dressage models. Unfortunately, I have decided against adding him to my collection.

Second, Elbe and Spree.

I AM IN UTTER LOVE!!! These models may just be my favorite SRs to date (although it is hard to say that with Ansel looking at me from my shelves). I am first on a waiting list for a pick-up, and I'm sweating bullets. I NEED THEM NOW!!

Third, Stein.

A lot of collectors are flipping over this guy. I think that he is so-so. The mold is great (wish he was performance friendly though!), but the color is a little iffy for me though. His right side looks bad, but the shot of his left is gorgeous. Either way, he is a handsome hunk that I won't be adding to my collection.

Fourth, Rotating Draft Surprise.

Not much to say here, other than to ask, why another alcoholic reference? I'm so sick of it. I think it may be Bobbi Jo, but I'm not thinking it will be a drafter. Perhaps Bristol? No clues to him, just thinking out loud.

Fifth, Breyer Bears.

I love this idea so much. Wish they weren't smelly though! And I'd love their eyes to be painted black or something, they seem a little off with the clearware eyes. I think Breyer knocked it out of the park with these two, and the price isn't bad either. Curious to see the exclusive packaging!

Onto SSs (or LEs now, depending on how long you've been collecting)

Montara. Gorgeous model, nasty mold. I won't be getting him unfortunately. I am not a Mellin fan

More later!

2022 RRs

They're out! And they are all really nice this year.

In this post I'm only going to talk about the Traditional 2022 Regular Runs, no Holiday models or SMs/Classics/CollectAs.

All photos in this post are Breyer Stock Images.

MorganQuest Native Sun:

I really like this guy. Troubadour is one of the molds I conga, so he is a definite must for me. And he's a reiner. Reining is my thing, so a reiner on Troubadour? Yes please!!!

Adamek:

Ooooh!! I like him! I got Uffington this last BF, and I really like the mold. He is a shelf hog though. I was actually just thinking to myself how nice he would be in blood bay. He is gonna be joining the herd soon I suspect. ;)

Blazing Kansas and Blazing Ethel:
Another need. I conga Rhian. I hate the name though! Blazing Ethel, really Breyer? Ew. Use her barn name. Her color is a little blah, but like I said, I conga the mold, so I will be needing her. Maybe for CCA next year.

Ideal Series:

Not gonna lie, he looks cheap. Dapples would have improved him. Or a bigger facial marking. But I get that they had to keep it the same as the painting. I won't be getting him. I have the chestnut though. He was A+.

Sjoerd:

He's nice. I like him. But I don't need him. I look forward to his in-hands, as I hear he has a satin finish in person.

Phantom and Misty:

Okay. But just Okay. Black makes Misty look weird. Baby is cute though! This tribute to Phantom was desperately needed.

That's all I got for now. Holiday recap later! And the other scales.

Welcome to my blog!

(Stock Photo Of Appaloosa)

Welcome to my blog! And thank you for reading! This blog will be all about model horses, mainly Breyer. Occasionally I will showcase models from my collection. I will post photos and information about upcoming and past models. I might discuss other aspects such as customizing and resin collecting. I will probably talk about photo showing. All sorts of good stuff!

My name is Adah, and I'm mainly a Breyer collector (I do have a few Stones and hope to get into resins soon). Most of my models are OFP, but I do have a fair few CMs. I customize and sell my pieces. I photo show as well. I am on Team Matte (Sorry Team Glossy!). I don't have anything against Glossies (I do own a few), I just prefer the nice matte finish. :)

I look forward to sharing with you in the model horse community!
