 Breyer teased us with this enticing morsel on Friday. I think about 90% of hobbyists (including myself) were expecting this one to be the deco SR on Georg.

The tricky peek

This morning, instead of the anticipate Georg, we got this guy.

It's our Classic limited edition deco! On Fairfax. He is definitely not on my list of wants. I don't particularly dislike him, I just don't like him. I don't collect classics (although I do have many from before I decided to cut them from my style), I don't collect decos, I don't collect glossy, and I'm tired of blue decos. We've just had too many. I understand it's a popular color, but it probably needs a rest! The shades on this little gent is really giving me an "It's a Boy - Gender Reveal Party" sort of vibe. Not what I typically want gracing my shelves. As for the mold, I really like it. I don't have any (once again, not collecting Classics) but I was tempted by a cheap Keep the Peace for use as a body on my TSC's after Christmas sale. I passed it up. Besides, I have appaloosas to finish! :)

In other news, the Surprise horse's logo and name was revealed.

I will probably be doing a guess the mold type post, but it will be after the rest of the SRs and LEs are released (to narrow the mold options).

Last thing, Breyer put out another SP this afternoon. I have no idea on who it is. Do you?

Hornswoggled. . . But in Love

 Before we start this post, I just want to say, THANK YOU FOR 2000 VIEWS! I know I'm a little late, but thank you anyway!! I have something fun that is in the works, and I hope you all will really enjoy it. You can expect to see it announced in the next few weeks. :) Now, back to the post.

What is this?

Well I wasn't expecting that. We are supposed to have a mare and foal every other year. We had Elbe and Spree last year, so that should have meant no mare/foal duo this year. Is that pattern over now, or is this just a weird year?? I don't know, but whatever's going on, we ended up with this pretty vintage set. I like the idea, but not even close to enough to buy it. The mare has a gorgeous mold and a bad color, the foal has a not-so-pleasant mold, and a stunning color.

Now, for the "But in Love" part of the post.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah! It is my beloved Troubadour boy, in a gorgeous (albeit slightly pumpkin toned) bay! Oh, I LOVE this one! Yesterday (and for that matter, the day before) was a terrible, no-good, very-bad, rotten day. If it could go wrong, it did. It was such a nice, spirit lifting surprise to check the blog and be greeted by this little hunk! He will be my third on the mold. I would like to conga it, so eventually I will get around to buying Morganquest, but I'm in no rush on him.

It's looking like today will be busy with a side of unpleasant again today, so I apologize if I am late with the next post. It will be a really good one, and will self-explain the delay.

Speos

Speos is pretty. I don't care for the mold all that much, but his color is very rich. He'd look nice next to this RR classic from last year. Speos is not available to online attendees.

Via Lattea

Next up is Via Lattea. Via Lattea is available for all ticket holders. As most of you know, I was champing at the bit to see a Constantia, hoping for one as a LE, but this was the one color that I hadn't bargained for. I do not like it. And her eyes are such a let down! The real horse is pretty, but I just don't think I'll buy the model. Not unless she looks a whole ton better in the in-hand promo photos. I'm really disappointed, but I suppose it's for the best, as I'm trying to reduce the amount of Traditionals I buy for the next little while. In a year or two, I am hoping to be expanding my hobby shelf space, but until then less is more.
