New Kid's Club Deluxe Model?

Scrolling through Breyer's website the other day, and I ran across a new classic.

Don't get excited yet. The following quote is directly from the description on the Deluxe Kid's Club Membership Page (quotation marks added).

"Please note: images of model and accessories are for representation only. Actual model and accessory colors will vary."

 Hmm. Could this be like the phantom TB/Morgan/QH of last year*? Or will he actually be produced, but only in a teeny tiny run, like the chestnut leopard Running TB**? It certainly does make me curious. If anyone gets the membership, or knows of someone who does, please contact me or post a comment! I'd really love to know.

* Last year there was a photo which debuted briefly in a few of the Horse Scenes (box brochures) that showed a beautiful classic Show TB that was never reported as being seen in real life. When they pulled that image, it was replaced by a Morgan stallion. He was never seen either. Then there was a QH gelding in an appaloosa color which was never seen.

** The Running TB is extremely rare, I've only ever seen one for sale on any platform, and it sold for several hundred dollars.

 Yay! It's been a ridiculously bad week, but the bright spot appeared yesterday! Jolene and Zeke arrived, and they are FLAWLESS. Jolene's box was destroyed in shipping, but she was okay- thank goodness.

 He's out officially! His color is a little different than I was expecting, but I like him anyway. He is on the TSC website right now, but not available to purchase (at least not for me). Looking forward to picking mine in-person!

The classic family and the American Dream and foal are up too. The American Dream has some pretty significant flaws in the promo photo. Lets hope that's not an ill foreboding for the rest of the run. The classic set has Harper, Proud Arabian, and Morgan Foal.

Blue and the Blue ornament are out, he is not solid blue as we thought, he is textured. Now it makes sense why they gave a whole section of the BF archive tour to the denim models lol. New Wade Figurines

 I do not generally collect clinkies. I have a few, and I enjoy them, but I am more comfortable with plastics. My one indulgence in the clinky world is my little hoard of Wade figurines. I don't have a jillion of them, I think my collection is around 12-24. Quite small in comparison with my Breyer models!

I got four new ones this month. They make me smile. 🙃 My favorite of the new ones is the squirrel. Which one do you like? Maybe someday I'll do a post with all my Wades photographed.

TSC SRs: The Sequel

Shockingly, two of the three Traditional TSC SRs popped up on the TSC website this morning. I would not have known about them if it wasn't for equiden posting on her blog (thank you equiden!). I didn't plan on starting to look for the next 2-3 weeks or so.

The ones available at the time of this writing are "Zeke" (the Zippo) and "Jolene" (the Lady Phase). As some of you may recall from my previous post, I was not originally planning on buying Zeke. I usually don't like Breyer's black paints. However, Zeke's stock image surpassed my expectations and I found him in my cart along with Jolene.

I am blessed enough to have a location that will ship both of them to my store for pick-up, so I don't even have to pay shipping! There are some Zeke's and Jolene's in-person at a store 2+hrs from me, but I wasn't looking for a drive this week. Thankfully my estimated wait time is 10-15 days, so it's not a horrible wait. :) Now, fingers crossed I get nice ones. 🤞

Hopefully "Ashton" (the Latigo) shows up at my local store. I prefer to choose my shade of grey on him.

(Very Short Post) Yard Sale Find

Got some fun stuff at a yard sale this weekend. One of them is horse related, so I'll share it here. I'll post about the other thing later on. :)

I haven't found much luck at my local sales this summer, so I was tickled to see this cute, teeny little KHP teacup sitting on a rack with a bunch of coffee mugs (there are always coffee mugs at a yard sale). I paid a quarter for it. I think it's a cute addition to my odds and ends shelves.

They're announced! And they are stunning! I love all of them this year, except the deco Geronimo. And I don't dislike him, he's just not my thing. 🙂 I'll definitely be buying a scrumptious Latigo, and a yummy LP, and probably a delicious bay American Dream!

I would like one of those Harpers in the set, but I can't tell who the other adult model is, and odds are I won't buy a full set for just one model. Shelf space is too valuable for that. 😉 I'm crazy curious as to who the second adult is, does anybody know? I'll be researching on IDYB, but there is too much glare for me to be able to tell right off the bat. Please comment if you know or have a guess!

The Zippo looks fabulous, but I typically don't love Breyer's black pintos in person. Too flat imho. Plus Zippo takes up a lot of space on shelving, so I will probably pass. If he is a good price on Black Friday I may snag one though. We'll see.

The deco FFA Geronimo appears to be a blue bay? I can't tell, he may have a design on his side. I don't collect decos, so he's an easy pass for me. It does seem strange that they would choose that mold though, what with the Mixer series in full swing.

Day 5. Who Is Your Favorite Artist?

I think I would have to say that my favorite artist is Carol Williams. It is a hard choice, as there are so many amazing ones! I also adore Deb Brown's work.

Day 4. What Is The Most You've Spent On A Model Horse?

 Too much. 😂 Way too much. I would have to go over all my documents to find an exact figure, and I'm not doing that, but it was a good chunk. I've been better the last year or so, (mostly because I'm running out of room!) so there have been less purchases. Honestly, I think the most I've spent on a single model this year was $170 something. See? I'm being a good girl (for now).

Elbe and Spree were the biggest purchase of this year.

Day 2. Which Is Your Favorite Model?

 Oooh. Tough one. Right now, I am in utter love with my Elbe, but my Ansel is really close. If we are going on what model I am most proud of, I'd say my glossy Nikko. As for aesthetic favorite though, I'd have to say my Ansel. I'm not considering sentimental value in this, or else it would be a SM CWB, for reasons I'm not going into just now. ;)
