Delay!

BF sum-up is delayed. I had a volunteer thing this morning, a visit from some family, and I may have to work this afternoon, so the post will have to wait. Sorry! I'll do my best to get it out before tonight's over. :)

Silence. . .

Sorry it's been so long guys! I am back. So much has happened. So much that I'll only hit the high (and low) lights.

Exactly 24 minutes after I re-published the blog, the bot returned. It crawled every. single. post. About 3 days later, it disappeared. No trace. I thought I had beat it, but no. It is back as of two days ago. It's page views have slowed down tremendously, but it is still here. I did read a comment from Timaru Star II on Horsiemama's blog that said that she once had this problem and her solution was to ask it to go away in the text of a post. I will be "asking it" at the bottom of this post, but I think this one is too high tech to respect anything like that. Several bloggers in the hobby right now are being plagued with it, so if you have any ideas, please lmk!

I also have been working on getting my garden in ground. It took longer than it should have because we had an unexpected frost the night after I transplanted, killing everything. I had to start late and buy some seedlings.

Then I took on a new job, which has me quite busy. The first week of learning processes and getting into routines is always a bit crazy.

Lastly, this morning, one of my holiest holy grails popped up for sale for a lot less than his usual going rate. It's killing me, because all my hobby money right now is budgeted for BF and I won't be able to afford him and all my planned BF purchases.  (He's a Stone SR of only 30 pieces, so there is reason to think I may never see him again.) I suppose I'll get over it, but the timing is just a bit frustrating!

Ok, I'm done venting now.

I do plan to be back regularly now, starting with a post covering our mid-year releases. They're real beauties this year!

This is the note for the bot: I don't know who you are or what you want, but please stop. Please stop running rampant over the blogs in this community. This blog is a part of me, and I don't understand why anyone would want to ruin it by causing panic and disruption. I know you are from Singapore, I know you use Mobile Safari on an Android device. Broken Bans

I bought a Shelby today. I was technically on a pony ban until summer, but he just kinda happened. I wasn't even in any real need for a pony fix, seeing as I just unboxed my Mariposa and Flor like 3hrs before I ordered him. It was just something about his delightful spotty bum. :3 I'm really in quite desperate need of his gorgeous grulla self on my shelf. If I don't get the appy I will definitely need to trade. Did any of you purchase a Shelby today?

As I mentioned above, I unboxed my Mariposa and Flor today! I did have another set on pre-order from Canada, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought it was unfair to buy one just to resell. I contacted them this morning and cancelled, sending my set down the line to the wait-listers. I will take photos of them unboxed as soon as I can. :) It has been rainy for 3 weeks straight. Friday is supposed to be nicer, so hopefully I can get some then. They are really nice. I had to do some considerable shuffling of my shelves to make room, meaning that I (sadly) had to move one whole shelf of classics and my old experimental customs to a high shelf in my closet. I won't see them much for a while, but it's nice to know they're still there.

As for random life updates, I feel like I owe you wonderful readers an explanation as to why my posting has been so sparse recently. Two weeks ago or so, I began having considerable pain in my head, jaw, shoulder, and chest (left side). Of course I saw the doctor, but they couldn't find anything so I went home on OTC pain killers. I was in a terrific amount of discomfort for over a week and a half, but I'm doing better now. Praying that sticks. During that week and a half, I really had little to no motivation to do anything. Since the pain is gone, I'm catching up on everything, hobby and real life related. Sometimes it is just plugging away, one foot in front of the other. I promise I really do have some cool stuff coming! I have a mini prop tutorial half done, another started and a blog collab still in the works. :) I'm also hoping to do another flash fun photo show this June(?).

Because of this lovely, wet, old, gloomy weather, I only have one photo for you today. I'm sorry. This is a pic that a very close friend of mine sent me today. I love dragons (especially sweet, little, chubby, baby ones).

Not Today. . . Sorry (UPDATED)

Hey guys, just a heads-up that there is a post coming tomorrow but I can't today. I have a very close family member in the ER, and I don't really have the time to post. Or the focus, or anything really. Hopefully be back tomorrow with a customizing post. Once again sorry.

Btw, any and all prayers are greatly appreciated! She's very private, so I can't share any more info about it though.

UPDATE: 3-9-23

So no post again today. Thank the Lord (and I mean that sincerely) her life is fairly safe now. She received emergency surgery this morning, but has to be rushed to a larger facility for another emergency surgery. There is a very, very slight chance of a potentially life-threatening problem, but thankfully this larger hospital has a specialist on hand to deal with it. I'm so sorry guys, but no post again today. I haven't had any time at all, I've just been rushing around from place to place and caring for her pets (and kid). I'll try to stay up late tonight and get something written for tomorrow.

0-60 In Under 2 Seconds

Life is so crazy right now! Last week, it was pretty calm, just a few projects running, a few randomly busy days, nothing insane. Then, right around Wednesday, things started happening. I agreed to finish judging an old show. I began the third layer of color on the resins. I got new restrictions from Breyer on the use of the JAHs (and it wasn't wonderful). I bought some new models. I got sick (really sick, all of last night and today. I'm mostly better now). A family member had a birthday. Groundhog Day came (and we really celebrate it around here!). I had four local volunteering programs in rapid fire succession. Our gas stove began leaking (all fixed now, no permanent damage). International Model Horse Painting Party (IMHPP) started, and I haven't even begun my painting (at least on my personal model, lots on the resins!). Oh, and I sliced a piece of my fingertip off from a run-in with a razor (it bled like a stuck hog!).

So I have a few photos, I tried to put captions on them. I'm exhausted right now, I only got three hours of sleep last night and worked hard all day, so I'll try for a more coherent post tomorrow or the next day. I have so many things to talk about! I'm sorry for the absence, I'll try to do better. Thanks for sticking with me!
